ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System
ISO 9001 stands as the globally acknowledged standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). ISO 22000:2018 – Food Safety Management System (HACCP)

“Gold Protector of the Environment” Award
One of our greatest accomplishments, is the award of the “Gold Protector of the Environment” (Χρυσός Προστάτης του Περιβάλλοντος) from the Cyprus Centre of Environment, as part of the Pancyprian Environmental Awards for Organisations and Businesses 2023.
Travelife Certification – Gold Travelife Certificate
Travelife is a worldwide certification body focusing on accommodation sustainability. The extensive requirements for obtaining Travelife Certification are endorsed by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and help hotels enhance their environmental and social practices. Adhering to Travelife’s criteria allows hotels to showcase their dedication to sustainable operations and responsible tourism. This certification serves as a valuable tool for both hoteliers and travellers who prioritize ethical and environmentally conscious choices.
“Keep Our Sand and Sea Plastic Free, Destination Zero Plastic in Cyprus” Project
Aliathon Resort has also joined the “Keep Our Sand and Sea Plastic Free, Destination Zero Plastic in Cyprus” Project, which aims to bring together tourists, tourism businesses and residents to cut consumption of single-use plastic in coastal regions so that less plastic ends up in the sea reducing plastic pollution. It is an initiative of the TUI Care Foundation in partnership with the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative (CSTI).
Sustainability Award
In 2023, Aliathon participated in the “Zero Beach Waste” programme, implemented by AKTI (Project and Research Centre) with the support of the Coca Cola Foundation and stood out again in terms of the effective reduction of its plastic waste, and was awarded with the “Sustainability Award”.
Environmental Responsibility Award
Aliathon joined and participated in the “Zero Beach Waste” programme, implemented by AKTI (Project and Research Centre) with the support of the Coca Cola Foundation. In 2022, Aliathon Resort, among 320 businesses, was recognised for its responsibility in effectively reducing their plastic waste and was awarded with the “Environmental Responsibility Award”.
